Yin Yoga with Louise

I have been practicing yoga for 15 yrs and yin yoga for 10yrs. I came to Yin yoga by chance and fell in love with the physical Freedom and flow alongside a deep sense of peace mentally and emotionally. I trained in yin yoga with Mysan Sibo who is a student of Paul Grilley who assited in the creation of Yin yoga.

My teaching style is rooted in Functional Yoga, which focuses on adapting poses to best serve each individual's body and goals. I blend this experience with my work as a mind-body wellness and creativity coach. In my classes, we celebrate the diverse paths of each student, fostering an environment where personal growth is nurtured within a supportive community.

Yin yoga, known for its slow-paced and meditative approach, invites you to explore deep stretches that target the body's connective tissues, promoting joint health, flexibility, and inner stillness. This practice is the perfect counterbalance to the dynamic activities of daily life, offering a tranquil space to rejuvenate. It is adaptable to all fitness levels and ages. Our sessions delve into long-held postures that not only enhance physical mobility but also offer profound mental and emotional benefits.

Please bring a yoga mat and bolster if you have them.

Ashtanga Yoga with Jason Martin

I have been practicing (intermittently I’ll admit!) yoga for around 10 years. I came to it, like so many of us due to injury. In practice I have found some peace and acceptance of where I am with my body!

I started my teacher training with the aim of getting more men onto the mat! My 200 hour foundation was with Jane Piddington of Ashtanga yoga Glastonbury in Somerset UK. I also have a 50 hour  yin yoga teacher training from Amy Jones both are highly qualified senior members of Yoga Alliance Professionals.

I’ve been lucky to have the ongoing experience of teaching yoga at Surf and Yoga Retreats in Mirissa Sri Lanka. Where I teach Ashtanga short form and Yin tailored for surfers.

I’m interested in Pranayama techniques and am looking to doing further training to teach this to help people cope with stress,  COPD and Asthma.

£10 per class or £60 for a block of 7 (paid in advance)

Vallis Farm is planting a community orchard and we need local, like-minded people to help us!

We have a dedicated team of volunteers who have helped to research and choose varieties of apple and plum for our new orchard. Now we need help to get them in the ground! This is an activity that anyone can get involved in so everyone is welcome. We work throughout the morning and the farm will provide all you lovely workers with a tasty lunch afterwards. This is a great opportunity to get outside, meet like-minded people and spend time with loved ones without spending any money! This will be the first of regular days that the space will be open to the public. Please email: tamsin@vallisfarm.co.uk to book your place or to find out any more information.
