In the busyness of life, it’s easy to get a little distanced from yourself. Forward-focused productivity is so normal that slowing down can feel unfamiliar, impossible (or even indulgent).

Embodied meditation is a mindfulness practice that focuses on the connected aliveness of awareness in and of the body. It’s not about emptying your mind or sitting perfectly still, but about coming home to yourself through sensation and presence.

This two-hour session offers simple, practical techniques to help you land back in your body and feel more grounded and present.
You’ll be guided through meditation practices that support body awareness and nervous system regulation. The aim isn’t to get it right, but to find a version of the practice that works for you.

Whether we’re indoors or out, the direction of the session will be shaped by the weather and the beautiful surroundings at Vallis Farm.
Some of the techniques we use have roots in Buddhist traditions, but there is no religious teaching involved. Everything is offered with respect for the demands of modern life.

Who is this for?
For frazzled folks who want to pause and re-connect. You don’t need any experience of meditation to join, and if you do have a practice, this is a space to go deeper. It’s for anyone looking for a clearer, calmer sense of being in themselves.
