On Wednesdays We Write
Georgia and Ronnie, hosts of the fortnightly writers meet up at Vallis Farm in Frome.
As writers themselves, they wanted to create a space to provide accountability and community (and cake!) for writers of all genres and levels. These sessions are not exclusive to “professionals” – if writing is something that you love to do, or are interested in exploring, then you are welcome here.
Each hour and a half long session will provide an initial inspiring exercise or warm up, an hour’s dedicated time for you to work on your writing project, and a plenary with tea, cake and chats about books and writing. All you need to bring is your writing gear!
A bit about your hosts…
Georgia is a former food journalist and freelance wellbeing and arts copywriter. She authors a (mostly) regular Substack about the intersection of mental health, nature, and the elusive art of being alive. This year she is directing her attention on a growing collection of poetry and her first narrative nonfiction book. She likes to cook, read, and sing to trees.
Ronnie is a librarian by day, a musician and writer by night, and obsessive cat mum 24/7. She is one half of folk duo māsa, signed to Faber Alt, and has a Masters in Creative Writing from Bath Spa University. Currently, she’s working on a debut novel about the 1960s folk revival, and is represented by Jenny Brown Associates.
£7.50 per session
